follows the principle of patience as a
powerful element to achieve the
highest quality in its production.

Customers cannot simply expect to walk into a store and walk out with one of the Hermes products. Instead, one has to place an order and wait for a few days or months to get their orders ready.Hermes does not chase celebrity endorsements as a brand-building strategy, and it has stayed away from this form of marketing. Authentic endorsement is a fact that only A-list celebrities and ultra wealthy people can afford access to their most premium and exclusive products.

The brand hires only 200 artisans annually and puts them into mandatory 2-year training before they can start working on any leather products. Hermes runs on the principle of having a product policy rather than a policy of image. For these very principles, the brand has always rejected the idea of mass production and manufacturing. These brand principles have remained firm in the company for its 185-old history.

Zara

Zara is a Spanish multinational clothing brand founded in 1975 by Armancio Ortega. It designs, manufactures, and distributes fast fashion products and sells clothing, beauty products, shoes, accessories, and perfumes for both men, women, and kids. It belongs to the world’s biggest fashion group, Inditex. Armancio Ortega wanted to keep the brand’s name as ‘Zorba,’ but there was already a bar in the same street with the name, which led them to settle on the name Zara.

Zara’s core value stands on four elements: beauty, clarity, functionality, and sustainability.

The secret of the brand’s success is its ability to keep up with rapidly changing fashion trends and showcase its collection within a short period. It creates and designs new collections and puts them into stores within a week or two, while other brands take close to six months to get new designs into the market.

Zara puts customers at the core of the brand’s success and puts unrelenting attention on customers’ requests. At precise times, new garments arrive at the store twice a week at the particular schedule. The label only allows its designs to remain on the shop floor for 3-4 weeks, post which the clothes

are replaced with new ones.
From starting its fashion journey four decades ago, with a budget of just 30 euros, to now being amongst the world’s most famous fashion brands owning 7000 stores worldwide.

Prada

Prada has been an influential force in the fashion industry for over 100 years. Mario Prada formed the house of Prada in 1913. The brand initially sold accessories, trunks, steamers, and other leather products. In 1919, the brand received public recognition when they were awarded the honored title of Official Supplier of the Italian Royal House. That’s how Prada got the logo that we see today. The distinct triangle of the Prada logo shows the House of Savoy coat of arms which is an ode to the Italian aristocracy.

Mario Prada believed that women should only work at home and have no place in the workplace. But when it was the time to pass the line of business to his successor, his son had

no interest in carrying on the business. Fortunately, the company was passed on to his daughter Luisa Prada who contributed to the brand for nearly 20 years, turning into its greatness today. Later, Miuccia Prada joined the family business in the 1970s and began designing luxury handbags and luggage.
For over 100 years, Prada has designed and sold beautifully crafted and creative handbags, clothes, watches, shoes, and accessories for men, women, and children. Prada’s sustainability target is eliminating greenhouse gas emissions, micro-fiber plastic pollution, and single-use plastic by 2030.

One of the most iconic products from the label’s workshop is the 2.55 handbag. Coco Chanel designed the 2.55 herself in 1955 to put everything she wanted in a bag.
